Dana White: No need to rush, we’re ready to wait for Khabib

The comeback of Khabib Nurmagomedov after his father’s death remained as a question which cause a lot of concern to UFC at the present time.
In early July, the news that the father of UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov had passed away made many MMA fans worried. Because this loss can greatly affect the Dagestan boxers mentally before his important match to defense the belt against Justin Gaethje.
Scheduled to be held in September this year, the match between Khabib Vs. Gaehtje has been carefully prepared by President Dana White for the Lightweight Championship. However, the death of Father Khabib can greatly affect the preparation process of the match.

Despite the fact that there are only 2 months left before the match takes place, President Dana White once again affirmed: the title of this match is still in UFC’s plan and he respects all decisions from Khabib.
“We are not urging Khabib. Khabib needs time and I will leave him alone. ” – White shared. “Khabib will need time to refocus and make the next decision, I think all of you understand?”
“I texted Khabib but I haven’t heard anything from him.” – White also mentioned the title match. “Of course, the title fight is still not out of the question. We are just waiting for Khabib’s decision. ”
Since before his father passed away, Khabib has kept up his training at Dagestan and said protecting this title was one of his father’s wishes.
